BFS Salt & Sun Cooling Vest

Florida summers taught us everything we know about keeping a dog cool, and lesson one is that the walk happens anyway. The Salt & Sun works the same way sweat works for you: soak the vest for a minute or two, wring it so it's damp instead of dripping, and put it on. As the water evaporates, it pulls heat with it, and the light-colored outer layer reflects sun off your dog's back instead of soaking it in like dark fur does.

The routine fits real walks. The evaporative PVA layer holds its charge for the length of a normal outing, and when it starts to dry out, any water source recharges it in seconds, a hose, a water bottle, the bay. Mesh side panels keep air moving through, and the cut leaves shoulders and hips free for a full stride.
