BFS Steady Step Martingale

Some dogs are built to slip collars. Greyhounds, Whippets, and other dogs whose heads are narrower than their necks can back out of a flat collar like it was a suggestion, usually at the exact moment you'd least pick. A martingale is the calm answer: it rests as loose as a regular collar, and if your dog pulls back, the second loop draws it just snug enough to stay put. It physically cannot tighten past the adjustment you set. No squeeze, no correction, just no escape.

The build is soft webbing on the main band, a smooth-sliding martingale loop, and a steel D-ring on the loop for your leash. The slide adjusters hold their setting walk after walk, so you fit it once and it stays fit.

Fitting a martingale is its own small skill, so here's the whole guide: size it so that when the loop is pulled fully snug, you can still slide two fingers flat under the collar at the tightest point. Snug enough to stop a back-out, never tight enough to pinch. And one rule we ask every martingale owner to follow: this is a walk-time collar. Take it off for crates, off-leash play with other dogs, and unsupervised time, the loop that makes it secure on a leash is not something to leave on an unattended dog.
