Some dogs walk around the block. Yours climbs over driftwood, wades in after the stick you didn't mean to throw that far, and treats every trailhead like a starting gun. This is the harness for that dog: quick-dry mesh that doesn't turn into a wet sponge after a swim, and a padded lift handle on the back for the moments adventure dogs are famous for.
The handle is the heart of it. Boat ladder, tailgate, a boulder taller than the dog, a creek bank that turned out steeper than it looked: a low-profile padded handle along the spine lets you give a confident assist with the load spread across the whole chest panel, not hauled through one strap. Around it, the build is trail-grade: four adjustment points, quick-release buckles, an aluminum V-ring on the back for the leash, and reflective trim for the hike that runs past sunset. The mesh body drains fast and dries in the sun while you're still rinsing off the cooler.
Sizing is the same two-measurement method as our Easy Lead: neck base plus chest girth, with girth deciding. S fits 18-23 inch girths, M 22-28, L 27-35, XL 33-42, and between sizes means go up. One honest line about the handle: it's for assists, lifting from a stable stance, not for carrying your dog like luggage or lifting them by surprise. Steady hands, happy dog. For full water days, pair it with the First Mate life jacket; the harness is for the trail to the tide, the jacket is for the water itself.
